This is video 3 of 3 of an off-grid installation we did up in the North Georgia Mountains. The home is a passive solar house. It’s roof line is sloped and the rear is close to the ground. (This is why wildl life is able to get on the roof – namely a family of bears that live near by.) You won’t see the main house in these videos, only the roof and utility room b/c the construction of the home was in the process of being finished as we did the installation. Enjoy! Huron schools to install Wind turbine
It’s an unusual gift, but definitly a gift of the future. A wind turbine will be installed to help the Huron City School district cut their energy bill in half. It will not only save the Sandusky-area school district money, but it will help students learn. “We have an opportunity for our students to be hands on with alternative energy which is one thing we’re pushing in schools,” said Superintendent Fred Fox. SUREnergy out of Sandusky actually donated the wind turbine to the district. They made the donation in memory of a family member who passed away.
